The Gyrotonic method is an exciting exercise modality that offers the same benefits also found in yoga, dance, gymnastics, swimming and tai chi. The uniqueness of the method is that it stretches and strengthens at the same time with minimal effort.

About the Gyrotonic® Method

Julio Horvath, the inventor, designed an exceptional tower based around the human body with all regard to total freedom in movement and no restriction to speed and versatility. The ingenious arrangement of straps and cables under tension moving through pulleys give the feeling of being supported by water in one instance, against resistance in another and incorporating plenty of opportunity for exhilarating stretches into the beyond!

The Gyrotonic Expansion System of exercising is directionally all encompassing, natural and rhythmic. Special attention is paid to the functional capacity of the spine stimulating the nervous system to increase muscle contraction and extension.

The tower can be used for creating a gentle or vigorous cardiovascular-aerobic workout; either will increase circulation and vitality.

The Gyrotonic methodology can be adapted to all levels of fitness from the elite sports professional to people from all walks of life for general conditioning and those in need of remedial therapy.
